Fire Damage

Water Mitigation

We believe that the restoration process is as much about listening and caring for the
emotional needs of the customers as in the actual physical repairs to a structure.

What is water mitigation?

ABCO offers full service water mitigation services, from initial inspection to final reconstruction and everything in between.

  • Inspection. Immediately after the disaster, we inspect the property and evaluate the extent of the damage. We will work with you to put together a plan, take time to explain to you what needs to be done, and what it will take to bring your home or business back to its original condition or better. We will use the most up-to-date moisture detecting equipment in the industry to find the damage and mitigate it.
  • Demolition and clean-up. Before restoration can begin, we make sure that any damaged building material (such as water-soaked carpets or carpet padding) that cannot be restored is properly removed.
  • Water extraction. Initial water extraction will remove up to 95 percent of the water, and we are often able to accomplish this without removing property. If necessary, we will remove any water-soaked materials for extraction off-site, storage, and restoration.
  • Professional drying. State-of-the-art industrial dehumidifiers and blowers complete the drying process, which is continuously monitored to ensure that all moisture has been extracted.
  • Mold prevention. Water damage can lead to mold. Quick action will help prevent the onset of mold and bacteria, but if it has already started, our mold remediation team can quickly attack the problem, remove molds from your home, and prevent it from re-occurring.
  • Complete reconstruction. We can bring your valuable property and possessions back to their original condition—guaranteed for 5 years in writing!

Staying safe and dry prevents future damage

If unchecked, water damage can become a gateway to other problems, such as mold, weakened floors and walls, and lingering odors. Water may have even penetrated into unseen areas and may have soaked through carpets to the bare wall, and in time could cause further damage if left untreated.

It could be a slow-leaking plumbing fitting hiding behind a wall, a malfunctioning toilet, a broken dishwasher fitting, or even a water softener that discharged and overflowed a drain line. Whatever the disaster, we’ll dry it out and repair the resulting damage—guaranteed.

Water damage resulting from floods or fire suppression need not leave your home or office in peril, but it does take an expert team with professional equipment to extract water and restore furnishings, walls and floors. Before restoration can begin, a thorough drying must be initiated, and a thorough investigation must be done to determine the extent of the penetration. The drying process makes use of industrial air movers and dehumidifiers, and may also require the removal of damaged carpet and carpet padding. All furniture is inspected, and moved when appropriate to facilitate the drying process. A thorough cleaning and disinfecting process will remove mold, mildew and dirt, leaving your home fresh and clean.

Acting quickly will help to ensure that damage caused by water is kept to a minimum, and ABCO Inc. can also assist with the restoration process to bring water-damaged furnishings, floors and walls back to their original, pristine condition.
